Firetide is most notable for its experience as a global provider of safe and dependable wireless mesh network equipment and infrastructure. This style of technology is a network structure in which each node relays distribution of data for the network. In addition, this company produces equipment for wireless access and network management. Firetide was originally established in 2001 known as Landmark Networks. However, the name changed to Firetide in 2003 as a way to "better reflect the company's mission and culture". During their years of existence, many international agreements were made with partners to expand wireless network services. They built a relationship in Singapore to install nation-wide public Wi-Fi, video and voice traffic networks for the Wireless@SG venture. Additionally, they also provided a wireless mesh network that VoIP radios could use in Dubai. Moreover, Firetide was the only company to install a reliable mesh wireless connection to the moving trains and subway stations in Seoul. Other partnerships were also formed as Firetide grew into a more successful company.  Firetide has become an indispensable partner for companies that need the flexibility and versatility of wireless to aid their IP-enabled wireless broadband and IP video surveillance devices. In the video surveillance area, Firetide has worked with Axis Communications and Sony Electronics. Meanwhile for Video Management Software, they have relationships that exist with Milestone Systems and OnSSI. The Wireless Threat Management sector also has partnerships with AirPatrol while the Access Gateways & OSS sector has a relationship with Aptilo.
