April’s manufacturer is: Rosenberger
Rosenberger has always thrived in the field of RF connectors, low frequency & high frequency cable assemblies, RF test and measurement devices, automotive products, fiber optic products and custom copper assemblies. The company was started by Hans Rosenberger in Germany during 1958 as a metal working shop. Ten years later, they were entered into the high-frequency technology industry.
The 1970s saw technology become the cornerstone of the company with large-scale projects. The first of the major projects were the manufacturing of miniature connectors. By the 1980s, Rosenberger became a family business with one son taking over sales management for the high-frequency sector while another son expanded the RF laboratory and R&D.
The company began to globally multiply at a quick pace. Sales offices were opened in Denmark, France, Italy, Hungary, Beijing, Chile, USA, and many other locations. Rosenberger also saw an emergence into the fiber optic market as well as in surface-mount technology.
The start of the 21st century continued their path of expansion. Stamping and manufacturing automotive electronic FAKRA-RF connectors became a new venture for the company. Data communication and power transmission connector systems were explored for hybrid and electric cars. Other products were eventually utilized in industries such as wireless technology, telecom, test & measurement, automotive, medical, military, industrial and data systems.
In the meantime, Rosenberger was making acquisitions of CDC DataComm, Horl Kunststofftechnik, H&S Automotive, Toth Inc., and HT Micro. The recognitions started to pour in as well. They were recognized as Bavarias Best 50 and the Bavarian Quality Award. They also had the distinction of becoming the first coax manufacturer to be ISO/TS 16949 certified.
