AT&T has announced St. Louis, MO as the newest market to receive 1 Gbps fiber-to-the-home broadband. This overhaul will be beneficial to improving the quality of both consumer and business network service.
St. Louis has the luxury of streamlining the permit process. This will create a fast and smooth transition to better quality broadband. Network users continue to necessitate a growing demand for ultra-fast broadband. For AT&T, the positioning of their ultra-fast U-verse with GigaPower is another instance of their commitment to connecting consumers and businesses with future advancement.
"By creating a climate that attracts infrastructure investment and reduces deployment barriers, city leaders and smart public policies play a key role in driving investments like the AT&T GigaPower network." said John Sondag, president of AT&T Missouri.
St. Louis is just one leg of the race as AT&T has plans to launch their GigaPower network in Charlotte, Cupertino, Greensboro, Houston, Jacksonville, Miami, Nashville, Overland Park, Raleigh-Durham, San Antonio and Winston-Salem as well. The impending deal with DIRECTV could surge AT&T’s Fiber Broadband into many more markets that could serve over 2 million more customers.
