February’s manufacturer is: Airpax

               
Airpax is recognized for their strength in breaker manufacturing and distribution. Founded in 1947, the company began their journey as a global supplier of components for OEMs in high-volume manufacturing industries.

However by the 1970s, Airpax made a change with an acquisition by North American Phillips Corporations. This change would help them expand their presence into telecommunications, industrial, recreational vehicles, HVAC, marine, military, medical, power, construction, agriculture, and energy. In addition, Airpax's developed an expansive product line over the following decades. Equipment consisted of hydraulic-magnetic and thermal circuit breakers, semiconductor fuses, E-Plex, thermostats, power inverters, and temperature and speed sensors.

For the amount that Airpax was able to produce in its history of change and adaptability, the cornerstone of their business was always in breakers. Yet, Airpax ultimately was acquired by Sensata Technologies in 2007. The purchase was made for a total of $276 million. For those concerned about their current compliance, Airpax equipment remains RoHS compliant and manufactured in ISO-9000 & ISO-14000 certified facilities around the world.
