AT&T looking ahead to mass VoLTE in 2015

I’m sure by now most people are wondering when this much talked about VoLTE will be making an appearance. Well those awaiting VoLTE to the masses, AT&T will have you waiting until 2015. Previously, VoLTe was expected to be released by 2013. There is more promise this time around as AT&T is getting the ball rolling by enabling devices to be VoLTE-ready.  At the same time, executives can see the finish line as they have hinted being in their final phases. A lot of testing is currently being performed to ensure it is at the same quality as their circuit-switch. Perhaps you have heard a lot about this VoLTE and how it will change the world of LTE. However, many people are not even fully informed about what VoLTE is. VoLTE allows talking on your smartphone to be efficient as service that is used to be on the internet. VoLTE is able to achieve greater volume of voice calls while using less spectrum. Ultimately the advantage of VoLTE for consumers will be consuming less battery, voice services will sound better, and the cost to the service provider will be reduced. AT&T has alluded to devices that will support this new technology such as the PadFone X. Other services that are compatible with VoLTE are also hotly anticipated such as HD Voice and video calling. Much of the focus with phone advertising has been put on internet capabilities and off of the original purpose of the phone; voice communication.
